FUNDACIÓ CATALANA SÍNDROME DE DOWN which may be found on calle Comte Borrell, núm 201-203, Barcelona, código postal 08029 entresòl, with tax number G-08.897.696, and registered in the Mercantile Registry of Barcelona, Volume…..,Page……,Sheet….., Registered 1a (hereafter FOUNDATION) in fulfillment with the stipulations with the Ley Orgánica 15/1999 of December 13 for the Protection of Personal Information (POPI), informs you that the  information that you provide in the sections indicated in said website in the blog format ( hereinafter known as BLOG) whose URL is http:// will be included in a file of personal information that has been registered in the General Register for Protection of Information.  The information collected will be used by the FOUNDATION for the exclusive purpose of developing the participation of the users of the sections “Opinion Blog” and “Interviews Blog” and to respond to the questions that they pose through the “@.”The answers given will be limited to matters directly related to the BLOG.   Confidential matters or those concerning the FOUNDATION and/or people who are responsible for the BLOG will not be addressed. Additionally, questions that are disrespectful and do not respect others will not be addressed.

Minors under the age of 18 may not be registered.  If it is found out that a user is under the age of 18, the FOUNDATION reserves the right to annul that person’s registration.  The FOUNDATION is not responsible for any consequences that may occur when minors are registered on the blog. At any time, a parent/guardian of a minor who has registered data on the BLOG without permission, may revise, cancel or oppose the treatment of the information on, indicating the reference POPI

By sending personal information through the respective form, the user gives his consent so that the FOUNDATION may use this information for the purposes that have been stated.  The uses should provide accurate and current information, or use an alias.  The FOUNDATION is not responsible for the consequences or harm that could arise from the publication of information that is false or erroneous.

On its behalf the FOUNDATION promises that the information provided by the user will be treated completely confidentially, and according to the measures and safeguards established by the law, with the objective of avoiding unauthorized access and processing.

Equally the FOUNDATION, in compliance with article 5 of POPI, states that providing one’s personal information by filling out forms is optional and at any time you can exercise your right to access, correct, cancel, and or oppose any matter with respect to the information provided.  In this supposition, the interested party will have to direct his complaint to the FOUNDATION, and do this by means of an email sent to the address with the reference POPI in the message and detailing in it the information he wants to modify or omit.

Relative to Electronic Communication and Public Communication Networks, the FOUNDATION will retain for twelve months and for a period of not less than six months and not more than two years that information which is essential for identifying the origin of stored data and the time when the delivery of service began.  The obligation to retain the data will not affect the confidentiality of the communications.  The data will be retained for security purposes, and will not be used for purposes other than those indicated in the respective law.

Whenever the FOUNDATION sends commercial information through e-mail to its users, the word “publicity” will appear at the beginning of the message that the FOUNDATION sends.

Without prejudice to the foregoing and regardless of the treatment carried out by the FOUNDATION under the POPI for purposes of compliance with the purposes described, the users know and acknowledge that part of the objective of the sections “Opinion Blog” and “Interview Blog” is the publication of information to make it is accessible to other users.

The FOUNDATION is not responsible for the consequences and effects stemming from the publication of this information-included in this are photos and other personal information that the user decides to make known to the public-For the user, this may involve, family, friends and/or, colleagues, or other people who are involved in the user’s life.  Participation in the BLOG is completely voluntary and is not obligatory.  The publicity of the data given is not subject to any guarantee of confidentiality, or the right to privacy, whereas the user voluntary decides they may be made public and as such forms parts of an Internet site in blog format and accordingly may be shared in social networks. As a result only the user is responsible for all the facts, situations, incidents, problems, among others, in the form indicated but not limited to which the publication of the information communicated by the user may give rise.
